We have had our first Fiore Longsword seminar at
the Footworks Dance Studio, and it was a great success!. Beginning in February we will be working through the fundamentals in a
structured (but fun!) manner. We are currently in the process of acquiring a
practice space.

Fiore
dei Liberi Longsword Seminar:
During this day long seminar, students will build fundamentals of Fiore's
longsword, focused on the development of core skills including balance, focus,
awareness, footwork, colpi (strikes), punte (thrusts), making cover and
displacements. This overview course presents the core of the Schola's "Elephant"
class work, building skills that can be expanded using the Schola curriculum
over the course of several months. Drills will be taught and a video in DVD
format will be available to enable future study.
