  • Added "Like" button for FB.  Don't forget to "Like" us.
  • I've noted an issue with video uploader.  I'm looking into it.  It essentially doesn't work.  I believe it is a filesize limitation but we'll see.
  • I've added two more meetups into the calendar feed.
  • Added Swords of Cobb to Groups menu.
  • Please note naming convention for calendar entries on your meetup pages.  It's preferred to prefix your events with location.  Please use shorthand, for instance, ATL for Atlanta.
  • Avatars and profile edit working in the forum.

2013-05-07  The restoration of video and document links is well on its way.  I've been cleaning up content throughout the site.  Please note a few things.

  • Training - much of this content has videos and document link repaired.  Also, oddball characters have largely been removed.  A couple of articles had extensive amounts of video and I have found it difficult to reconnect that video since it wasn't named such that I can easily guess at what goes where.  If you are a content owner, take a look at these articles and maybe we can collaborate on fixing them
  • There's a new "Video" tab.  I've uploaded all of the Symposia videos that I have recovered.  There's lots there.  I will begin uploading training materials that weren't clearly linked to a particular article. Eventually I will also put and "everything else" category out there.  If you are looking for something to re-embed in some older articles, please rumage through these, note the name of the video and where you found it.  I'll show you how to embed that video or I might just do it for you if you tell me where.
  • Under "members" is an upload video link.  Please upload some new stuff.  After the approval process I will give you the tag you need to embed it.
  • There's a new calendar.  I will park it somewhere eventually but for now, as you've probably already noted, it's front and center.  It receives multiple feeds from all of the meetup calendars I'm aware of.  If your feed already goes to the calendar, please use a naming convention for your events that begins each event with your location.  DFW worth for instance uses "DFW" before each event.  I don't think it matters what you use but you'll be informing the broafer SSG community with what you're up to if you put your location in front of the event.  If I don't have your feed and you use a group calendar, even if it isn't meetup, I may be able to add it to the feed.
  • Most of the low hanging fruit has been picked in regards to the website.  Please peruse the site and let me know if there is any pet content of your that isn't right and we can fix it together.  Also, if there is anything you've ever dreamed of being able to do on the site, let me know and I might just find a plugin or a third party app that will accomplish your goals.

Steve

  • Steve Burger 12:16pm May 17 I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in trying for a group discount on I-Beam trainers. I don't know how much turkey we'd be talking but they'll let us know with a firm number. I believe $200 is their normal price and we're looking to get that reduced. If you are serious about getting one, let me know either here or message me. We'll get pricing based on a serious count of desired swords. I'm just stoked about serious and safe steel for under $200. I can send you some links to reviews and such about this sword if you're interested but not familiar with this sword.

  • Brian R. Price 7:07am May 15 Congrats to our two newest Compagni in Honolulu: Jesse Melanson and Bianca Thompson. Both flew their test without apparent difficulty! Bryan Johnson 3:36pm May 15 Great job
