The workshop was great. The thoroughness of the presentation and attention given to all participants by Mr. Price were both extremely helpful. We covered all that one needs to begin studying Italian Longsword, footwork, guards, cuts, thrusts, covering, etc. The drills were very useful and will continue to be helpful in our development. It?s too bad other people in the area didn?t get to come?.they don?t know what they missed.

Well, today marked our first Schola Saint George seminar with our new group and I must say I was quite pleased with the turnout. Not as many people showed as I was led to believe would, but that meant that everyone got more \"Brian Time\". :-)

Brian basically took a two day seminar and gave us a 6 hour \"crash course\". We covered the posta, the footwork, the basic strikes, and more. It was a bit overwhelming, to say the least! :-) But it gave all of us a \"launching pad\" for the group to start practicing with. Unfortunately we were only able to work on the 1st Play. But at least it\'s a start.

I want to thank Allana for coming to the seminar. She had NEVER been involved in medieval martial arts and had found out about us through the local \"sword shop\". She was picking things up pretty quickly and looked like she was enjoying herself. I certainly hope she deicdes to become a member and continue to join us for our weekly training.

Our next seminar in the planning stages is to get Colin Hatcher out here to show us how to do abrazare and the daga.
