Primary Foci: Italian medieval sword in two hands, armoured combat, adaptation of material to SCA combat contexts

SSG Wisconsin is in session as of September, 2009.

Initially, we begin with Italian medieval Sword in Two Hands. Once comfortable with this foundational material, we plan to expand into various breadth areas, dependent upon specific interests identified. Areas in which interest has already been expressed include German Longsword, Italian Poleaxe, Daga, Lanza, German and English Sword and Buckler (MS I.33 and George Silver).

#1 Aaron Toman 2010-08-29 10:57 We're now about at 4-5 consistent practices with at least half of the people attending showing each week. Many of us are still recuperating from some type of financial issue and aren't able to swing getting The Sword in Two Hands, but I would like to provide training / reference notes. I figured a good place to start for a list would be the Yellow testing requirements, but the link is dead. Can someone provide a reasonable set of training notes?
Thank you,
Aaron
