Schola Principale Brian
R. Price Poleaxe, Longsword, Daga, Wrestling,
Arming Sword, Spear
Brian has 21 years experience as a competitive
tournament combatant and teacher both within the
SCA and as a founder of the Company of Saint George,
the first Tournament Company.
His interests lie in the are of the chivalric
ideals and how both martial technique and the tournament
experience can be employed as character-building
pursuits that provide both education and enjoyment.
His first book, "The Book of the Tournament"
was published in 1996. In 2001 as publisher he brought
Ramon Lull's Book of Knighthood & Chivalry to
press, and is currently working on several fighting
manuscripts as well as a collected "Chivalry
Reader."
He is also an armourer, providing much of
the equipment to the
Schola and to other combatants throughout the world.
In 2000 his "Techniques of Medieval Armour
Reproduction"was released and has since become
the "bible" of young armourer's throughout
the world.
Together with school Provost Robert Holland,
Brian creates the bulk of the schola's study materials
and teaches both elements of the Elephant class
and the Compagno classes.

Schola Provost Robert
Holland Sword & Buckler, Longsword,
Spear, Daga, Wrestling, Arming Sword
Robert has two decades of fighting and teaching
experience, chiefly though not exclusively within
the SCA. A longtime student of European swordsmanship
as a martial art, Robert plays a key role in the
developmet of Schola materials. He was also an early
and active member in the Company of Saint George,
and has been an organizational bellweather for the
Schola throughout its short 3-year life.
Robert currently teaches the Elephant class
and helps to develop the curriculem further, as
well as remaining competitive in an SCA context.

Compagno Colin Hatcher Longsword,
Wrestling, Daga
A part of the Schola's first Compagno class,
Colin brings his interest in medieval reeanctment
and extensive martial arts teaching experience to
bear.
Colin has been involved in grappling arts
for 25 years, holding 5 blackbelts including a 3rd
degree in Jujitsu and a 2nd degree in Akido. He
ran his own martial arts school in Europe from 1992-1998,
"Kyudokan" (School for Warrior Spirit),
with branches in England, Sweden and Germany. He
taught Akido to 150 students between 1999-2001 in
San Jose.
Currently Colin is developing a course in
falling techniques and exercises that will be debued
at the June Symposium, and is working on his Scholar
rank.

Compagno Brian Keish Longsword,
Wrestling, Daga, Sword & Buckler
Brian Keish has participated in the Company
of Saint George pas d'armes and attended both Livermore
symposiums before coming to he Schola's first Compagno
class in 2002. He tested for Compagno is January
2003 with the first class of Compagnos, and has
been a consistent attendee, working both with the
Schola, maintaining an active SCA membership (where
he is a competitive combatant) and studies with
Paul Porter.

Compagno Andrew Mitchell Longsword,
Wrestling, Daga, Sword & Buckler
Andrew Mitchell began with the Schola in
2002, working through the first Elephant class and
testing for Compagno in January of 2003.
He is active in historical reeanctment and
has a background in competitive fencing. Currently
he is studying for Scholar, having completed the
giocco largo module.

Douglas Sunlin also started with the first
Elephant class in 2002, testing for Compagno in
April of 2003.
When not working through various
longsword poste transitions, plays and the like,
Douglas participates in Hyborian
role-playing.

Compagno Lauren MacDonald Longsword,
Wrestling (kicking!)
Lauren MacDonald started with our 2nd Elephant
class, completing the class with a hard-to-match
passion.
She has a background in Kung-Fu
and Kickboxing, which when she's challenged, causes
her opponents to occasionally sport treadmarks on
their gambesons...

Compagno Rich Rodriguez Longsword
Rich Rodriguez began with the first Elephant
class in 2002, testing successfully for Compagno
in April of 2003.
He is active in historical reenactment
but has recently been posted to Rotterdam, Netherlands
for 4-6 months.
