Santa Barbara, CA Study Group
on hiatus
COVID and life have interfered with getting the Santa Barbara group really going, so we're taking a bit of a break.
Just forming in May of 2020, the Santa Barbara study group will be led by Mark Sanders, a professor of archaeology, religion and history at the Santa Barbara Community College. He is a graduate of Cardiff University, and specializes in early period (Sutton Hoo, et. al.). He has been involved in the Armoured Combat world for some years, as have several of the group's founding members. However, the school also welcomes combatants oriented more towards the HEMA sport or towards Deeds of Arms.
